I shared my Flammkuchen or Pizza Bianco recipe with chilli fish and capers, you find it here. This is the same crust, but I topped it with tuna, green onion and black sesame seeds. The original German Flammkuchen is with onion and bacon, but I just love to make my own twists. Which one do you prefer?
Ingredients (4 pizzas):
- You find it here
- 8 tbsp creme fraiche (or sour cream)
- 4 green onions
- 2 x 4 oz tuna in water
- 1/2 tsp black sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- pinch of salt
- fresh black pepper
Prepare the crust as described here.
Pre heat the oven to 475ºF.
Divide the dough in four equal sized parts and roll out each part to a thin rectangle with a roll pin. Place each rectangle on an oven tray covered with parchment paper.
Add the topping, starting with spreading out the creme fraiche over each of the four crusts. Chop the green onion thin and sprinkle over the pizzas. Drain the water from the tuna and spread the tuna over the pizzas. Finish with the sprinkle the sesame seeds, olive oil, salt and fresh black pepper.
Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes until the edges starts to get some color.
Serve the Flammkuchen with slices of lemon and a green salad.
